✨ Once upon a time, I got dropped by my record company, ghosted by my manager and struggled to pay the rent. 😱⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Sounds like a lot of musicians I guess. I was sharing a house in Laurel Canyon, driving a standard car that had only 2 out of 4 working gears, and trying to survive waiting tables on Melrose Avenue.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was in rough shape all around. All inklings of success evaporated. And frankly, I didn’t have what it took to turn it all around. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I felt lost, stuck and more than a little disappointed in myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was longing for some kind of program, or structure, or a person who could help me connect with my talent, draw out my courage and help me grow my confidence and achieve my goals.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But, that person didn’t exist.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So I decided to become that person. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Here’s what I did:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏾 I quit the music business. It wasn’t me. I needed to become true to myself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏾 I shifted from being scared, stuck and letting myself off the hook, to committed, courageous and powerfully persistent in achieving my goals. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏾 I went to University and studied things that were true to me, like psychology, religious studies and counselling.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏾 I became a disciplined meditator and took my spirituality very seriously.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏾 I worked as a psychotherapist.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
👉🏾 I studied and became a life coach. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I went from stuck in an unfulfilling career to success in a career I love. I am so much happier and feel like I am living my potential. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
